INFO: "Time Trials" is the debut full length for Edison, NJ's infamous The Mongoloids. Taking cues from the sounds of cross Hudson bands such as Sheer Terror, Life Of Agony, and The Cro-Mags, the hard edge of the "Time Trials" LP comes from these influences, distinctly blending the gritty and fast eighties sound of bands found on the "Where The Wild Things Are" and "New Breed" compilations, but with a definite precision in the guitar sound and tone. Though many question how serious a band named "The Mongoloids" could be, the critics will find a seriousness in both content and execution that leaves all questions about the legitimacy of this band at the door, legendary shirts and aesthetics aside.
